SMART DevNet’s Milestone Meetup

SMART Developer Network (aka SMART DevNet) is having its first ever meetup to celebrate a milestone of sorts, the first 1,000 signups for its Facebook group! Well we promised we’d be organizing a meetup once we hit that figure – so here it is. Actually, it’s mainly a flimsy excuse to throw a meetup, but if anyone asks why, at least we have a ready answer!
It’s called the “SMART DevNet Milestone Meetup”, and the event hashtag is #DevNet1000 .
We’re having it at PROHIBITION 1903, a brand-new wing at Dillingers 1903 Steak and Brew, 3rd floor, Greenbelt 3, Makati. This is going to be at 7 pm on Friday, Sept 14, 2012.
So we’re rolling out the welcome wagon! Developers who make it to the meetup get to chat and mingle with fellow devs over cold drinks and some chow. We’ve also invited some big names to drop by – so you might bump into James Pearce, head of Facebook developer relations at the bar. Or Johan Jansenns, co-founder of Joomla and currently part of the Nooku Framework team. Or even crossfit enthusiast Paul “Pageman” Pajo. 🙂
There will also be “show and tell” mini mobile app presentations from the development teams of “InstaPatrol“, “Moodsee” and Tecsoft apps.
We’re also giving away some prizes! The first one hundred registrants on our EventBrite page get SMART DevNet freebies (T-shirts, etc) plus a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and other cool prizes.
Here’s the link to the EventBrite page. To qualify for the prizes, you need to register on that page and be among the first 100 signups — and bring a print out of the e-ticket to the bar as proof.
See you guys there!
Update: As you may have heard, the first 100 tickets through our EventBrite page are “sold out” already. But we are still taking in names for the waiting list (also through our EventBrite page), so you can still sign in, just in case someone drops out!
